Is your Rural Health Clinic overlooking the Annual Program Review

When the State Inspector comes to your clinic and asks for your Program Advisory Group’s minutes from the annual review, does your mind go blank? Many times Rural Health Clinics either do not document the results of the annual clinic evaluation or fail to do it at all!

Under the rural health clinic guidelines, clinics under the program are required to have an annual review of the clinic by the Program Advisory Group (board) which is made up of the following individuals: Medical Director, Mid-Level Provider, Nurse, Office Manager and someone who is not an employee of the clinic.

Review your policy manual and besure to record the minutes of your annual review meeting. If you are not sure what is included in the annual review, please contact our office for more information!
